Young Marc
The fresh face! The hair! The sideburns! Yep, it was the early 2000s.
DC Network Mark II
When I got hired by Sega.com, this was the site we were working on. Optimized for TV, and much better looking than the "crystal meth" design the system launched with. And look at those familiar fonts!
Heeeey!
Me posing like an idiot before an interview with (I think it was) Yu Suzuki.
The Triptych of Terror
Behold The Triptych of Terror! One day we went into Sega of America's merchandise vaults, and found these way cool, totally rad lids.
VT1
We always found the Virtua Tennis faces to be kind of scary...
VT2
... especially if you do this to their eyes.
Marine Fishing
Photoshop gags were a big part of the fun. This one came out around the time Marine Fishing was launched.
SegaNet Award 1
These trophy concepts were made for some sort of event, but never got made.
SegaNet Award 2
Something to hang... something on.
SegaNet Award 3
A very early-aughts design.
SegaNet Award 4
Practical!
SegaNet Shirt
Every guy's dream girl, amirite?
Yoot Saito
The author with the great Yoot Saito, the man behind Seaman.
The lounge where a lot of gaming took place at Sega.com. Love the name.

Sega.com Banner
I was so pissed when we put banner ads on Sega.com and this banner came out...
TR4 Invite
One of the cooler events I got to go to was one for the unveiling of Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation on Dreamcast. Good luck trying to read that font though.
Samurai Spandex Warriors
Bonus content! This is a cheap Photoshop job during my Koei days, as I thought that blond character looked like Diamond Dave.

  1. nice! i think the “interview picture” was actually a recording session we did for the SEAMAN website (where Mike Lopez was the voice talent for the narration)

    • That’s right! Good times. That was a SEAMAN “immersion site,” right? Those were so much fun to make. Back when Flash was king!

  2. Hey that’s me in the first pic!!! 🙂 Man, we had so many fierce and legendary game competitions in that Tiger Marmalade room. Some of the best times of my life were with you all in those halls and cubicles of legend. I miss you guys, and hope everyone is happy and living your dreams. I look forward to reading through your website, and catching up on all things Marc 🙂

    Your friend always… Jason

    • Yo! Great to hear from you, man. Yes, that is indeed you, and I do remember the battles in Tiger Marmalade, and a certain someone who said “nobody beats me…. at Rush,” haha! I’m gonna drop you a line via e-mail right now, let’s catch up!
